Hand-tied Wefted Hair Extensions Remy hair on hand-tied wefts is placed in correct cuticle alignment with the cuticle direction flowing down to the ends. Hand-tied wefts are made on poles where weaving thread is stretched tight and each hair strand is looped through the threads by hand. The ends of each weft are secured by tying off and knotting the thread. Hand-tied wefted hair is typically shorter in width and there can be 6-8 individual wefts per 4oz pack. They are usually bound in rolls as shown. Hand-tied wefts are very flat and thin creating a comfortable install. There can be a short fringe of hair right below the weft. This is called a return (or some call it a beard). Hand-tied wefted hair can be installed by a sew-in method, rings, taped or bonded in place. |
