Brazilian Virgin Hair

Virgin Brazilian Hair

100% Peruvian South America Virgin Remy. Photo shown is of actual hair we import as original cut ponytails from one person. We draw and custom blend each ponytail and place on machine wefts.

Where Our Virgin Brazilian Hair Is From:
Our hair is collected from the South American tropic regions of Peru, Argentina, Brazil and Venezuela. Peruvian hair comes from a thriving Latin American economy and is clean, healthy hair. Each original cut ponytail is from one person.

  • Brazilian Hair Is Not: Freely donated via the religious practice or cuda karma of tonsure like Indian hair. Brazilians are paid for their hair and the price and limited availability is reflected in the end product.
  • Brazilian Hair Is Not: Available from Chinese companies. Vendors from China attempt to capitalize by selling Asian and Indian hair as Brazilian. They process the aforementioned hair types and call it Brazilian when it is clearly not. Chinese vendors do not, under any circumstance, have genuine Brazilian. They do not have Russian European or European hair either for that matter.
  • Brazilian Hair Is Not: Sorted in unsanitary factories and in mass quantity where cuticle inversion is likely to occur. It is also not subjected to chemical baths or delousing because raw Brazilian hair is exceptionally clean from the start.
How can I tell if you're offering genuine Brazilian hair and not hair from India?

Hair from I
ndia is not available in original cut ponytails but Brazilian hair is. Indian hair is shaved from the scalp (tonsured) and falls to the ground where it is then gathered, bundled, and auctioned. While there are many positive attributes about hair from India, Brazilian hair is collected in an entirely different manner.

Genuine Brazilian hair is always collected as an original ponytail. Meaning, the hair is grown from one person, pulled back in a ponytail (if the donor hair is thick, it is pulled into smaller ponytails then bundled in one) and then it is cut. That's it. The next step is that it comes to us.

We only import original ponytails as the first step in our quality control. If a vendor is advertising hair as Brazilian and they do not have original ponytails or cannot get them for you, this should be a red flag. Chances are, they're selling something other than Brazilian hair.

hair color levelsColors: Typically, hair is between Level 1 and Level 2 and we do occasionally receive up to Level 5 (light warm brown). The hair is typically warm which means there are no ash tones. Because the hair is virgin, it can be Level 1 to Level 2 at the point of cutting and gradually become lighter as the length progresses. As hair grows and is exposed to the sun, UV penetration causes hair strands to naturally lighten. We do not list this hair using the standardized color ring because the hair is virgin and can have several variations of each shade continuing through the entire length of hair. One ponytail from one person can contain several different levels of unprocessed, virgin color. In some original cut ponytails this can clearly be seen as the underside of the ponytail will be darker.

Because this is virgin hair, it can be lifted, bleached, dyed, colored with semi or permanent color, you can use henna...anything you can do with your own hair, you can do with virgin hair. If, however, you do not have the experience to successfully manipulate hair color or texture, take it to a professional. If you begin manipulating the hair and you're not absolutely sure how it will turn out - you should not proceed. Virgin hair can damage just as easily as your own so proceed at your own risk or choose your hair professional wisely before handing over your investment.

Textures: Brazilian hair has a variety of textures, hair diameter, softness, luster and movement. Any vendor claiming Peruvian hair is any one thing is incorrect. Because of the varying ethnicity in South America, we import hair that is coarse and curly and also smooth, silky and higher luster than Russian European hair.

Curls in long lengths: Generally, the longer the hair the looser the hair. It is rare to have long lengths with big bouncy curls with spiral ends. As the hair grows, the weight increases and the hair pulls and relaxes under its own weight. If you're looking for very curly hair that will air dry to a length of 20", this hair would actually have to be grown much longer, sometimes between 28"-30." It's not common for Brazilian women to cut hair they've grown so long.

Can Brazilian hair be genuine European? Absolutely.

Brazil's population is very diverse consisting of European, African, Amerindian, Portugese, Italians, Spaniards and others. In the late 19th century, Brazil received a substantial immigration of Europeans from the Ukraine, Italy, Germany and Spain.

Individual Color and Texture Matching: We do not perform coloring services. If you have a sample of hair you would like us to match, please mail it to us so we can check our stock. Contact us for our mailing address.

What Does Single Drawn Wefts mean? We take a fresh cut ponytail, open it up and remove several inches of short hair from the top before we blend the hair and weft it. Only the first few inches of short hair is removed and the rest is wefted so you will have various lengths of shorter hair in the wefts you receive.

Luster and "Feel" of Hair: This is the #1 question we receive about this hair. We do not categorize hair by high luster, medium luster, low luster, etc. Hair that appears to be low or high luster will take on an entirely different quality under florescent, black light, indoor light, natural light, shade, sunlight, etc. It's too varied. Too many light levels and variations change how the hair reflects.

Also, our opinion may be completely different than someone else when it comes to shine and texture. If hair really stands out as shiny, we make a point of noting it. We don't assign it a "5" on a scale of 1-10 or put a number to it. We simply feel it has a quality that stands out and we mention it.

We've sent out hair samples from the same ponytail and received feedback from high luster to low luster, coarse to silky and it's all differing opinions on the same swatch of hair.

In conclusion, please expect every weft to be unique and to possess any level of light reflecting qualities you'd expect from unprocessed, full cuticle human hair. And as far as the "feel" or "texture" of hair, our descriptions are on the individual product itself so please take the time to look it over, as well as the photo, and base your purchasing decision on the information we've provided. Thanks so much!

Online Ordering: We have machine wefts available for immediate purchase. We provide one photo of the actual weft available and a detailed description.
